One-Millionth Book Giveaway!
The Maryland Book Bank will reach an incredible milestone in late 2019- distributing our one-millionth children’s book in the community! That’s one million smiles. One million magical adventures. One million life-changing stories.
We are so grateful for the support of the community that has gotten us this far in just six years—the hundreds of volunteers, families and business partners who have donated, sorted and packed books. The 800+ community partners who have helped us to get them in the right hands.
Now it’s time to celebrate with a citywide celebration of reading and a fun contest for all K-5 classrooms in Baltimore City. While we’ll designate one special copy of the book as THE Millionth Book, we’ll also use this opportunity to put that book into the hands of hundreds of young people!
Our One-Millionth Book giveaway contest will give students the opportunity to let their imagination soar as they create a poster depicting what reading means to them.
