Our Story
Our History
For more than 20 years the Book Bank was part of the nonprofit organization, Baltimore Reads Inc. In that time, the Book Bank distributed over 1.8 to the community, saving those who received the books over 14 million dollars and providing vital educational resources to those in need.
Who We Are Today
In 2014, the Book Bank and its programs were acquired by The Maryland Book Bank, a separate and independent nonprofit organization. Since then we have grown exponentially in scope to include the Maryland Book Bank Baltimore Ravens Bookmobile, The Home Library Program, and Story Kits.
At The Maryland Book Bank, we are united in our belief that all children deserve the resources needed to enrich the mind, encourage success, and instill a lifetime love of reading.
